Awnings
Awning windows open with two top hinges, creating an awning effect, hence the name. This design enables you to have them marginally open during rain and have the inside stay dry. Their clear, open pane also allows for great visibility and unobstructed views.
Casement
Casement windows open from two side hinges, making them fantastic for ventilation in warm climates. As they have only one pane of glass, warm air stays inside during the colder months.
